Re-photo for my rune ring, the script says “fears bane boar hearted”
This re-photo better captures the color tone for bronze, the old one looked like some kind of aluminium.
A glam pic for my spirit wolf in bronze, I love the way the patina turned out.
Another re-photograph for my store, this is my silver spirit wolf.
Working on updating my pictures for my etsy store, a good picture means a lot online.
My Bronze horde.
About 95% done, these have spent 2 hours in the vibrating polisher then patina then another hour at a finer grit. Now they wait for someone to want them then I put a shine on with some rouge and a buffing wheel.
My own version of furthark, the script reads “fears bane boar hearted”. Boars are still a symbol of fearlessness in combat, the norse and the celts both respected this fierceness, even the romans would sometimes use a boar as a legion standard. I love the rope work on this piece. The bronze is polished to a high shine, this will fade somewhat to a natural patina once the owner starts wearing it.
The metal is ancient bronze (cu90:sn10) very tough metal, it is harder then cast iron, I alloy the metal myself using copper scraps (wires, pipes) and tin. This piece can be cast in silver too. The metal weighs about 22 grams (heavy pendant), and is about 4.5cm in diameter. The cord is a bit different this time, it’s five weave flat cord (instead of 3 cord braid, this can be changed) waxed hemp with adjustable length.
Hidden to all but the knower, the script seer.
Written in runic, my interpretation of the old runes.
Three strand hand braided waxed hemp adjustable neck cord, each side has a loop that slides along it’s opposite twin to change the cords length, I used bees wax from my own bees to wax the cord.
Started of life as a set of earrings, the client wanted a pendant instead so one went to her and this the other will go to someone else.
This is a one of a kind piece I made for a client, he supplied the design for me to carve and cast in Argentium Sterling.
Some cool buttons.
Knot work is emblematic of the connectedness of all things in creation, I call this one six sisters because there are six loops all woven together, the design is original. Outer diameter is 1.5 inches.
Cast in silver, three strand braided cord is made from waxed hemp, I used beeswax from my own bees to wax the hemp and wove the braid myself.
An older project, this was a “one of a kind” piece.
In Argentium silver, my spirit wolf annulus.
